Pond
water filters are an important element of any successful (healthy)
pond. They do multiple things to help clear up the water and keep the
pond in good shape. Here are some examples of the functions of pond
water filters:
- They keep debris (like leaves, organic matter,
and even trash) from getting into and clogging up the pump.
- They remove excess nutrients from the water,
thereby lessening the amount of algae that can grow in the pond.
- Pond water pumps can break down fish waste.
- They remove dissolved waste from the pond
water.
There are a variety of pond water filters: be sure that you choose
the right one for your pond. There are external filters, intake pond
water filters, submersed filters, and more.
